Cookie Policy
Effective 2026 · Last updated 2026
Pocai uses only essential cookies for security and authentication. This policy explains what they are and why they exist. Short version: no tracking, no ads, no analytics.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They serve various purposes: remembering login sessions, saving preferences, or tracking behavior. Cookies can be set by the website you visit (first-party) or by external services (third-party).
2. Essential Cookies
These are strictly necessary for the service to function. Without them, you cannot sign in or use account features. They are set by Supabase, our authentication provider.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| supabase-auth-token | Manages your login session | Session | First-party |
| supabase-refresh-token | Refreshes expired sessions | Session | First-party |
3. Functional Cookies
Set by hCaptcha during registration and login to verify you are not a bot. These cookies are essential for preventing automated abuse. hCaptcha may set its own cookies as documented in hCaptcha's privacy policy.
4. Local Storage
Pocai also uses your browser's localStorage to store non-personal preferences:
UI Preferences
Theme and layout settings
Magic Link Cooldown
Timestamp to prevent abuse (not personal data)
Cookie Consent
Whether you acknowledged the cookie banner

None of this data is transmitted to any server or used for tracking.
5. What We Do NOT Use
6. Third-Party Cookies
Pocai does not embed any third-party content that would set additional cookies on our pages, except for hCaptcha on authentication forms. No third-party analytics, advertising networks, social media widgets, or tracking pixels are present anywhere on the site. Your browsing activity on Pocai is not shared with any external service for marketing or profiling.
7. Managing Cookies
You can control cookie behavior through your browser settings:
- View and delete existing cookies
- Block all or specific types of cookies
- Clear cookies automatically when the browser closes
Note: Blocking essential authentication cookies will prevent you from signing in or using account features. Since Pocai does not use any optional cookies, there is no opt-out mechanism beyond your browser controls.
